Antoni and Vivien have decided to stage a contest to find the most original wedding concepts in Britain; the Confetti staff will narrow the field down to three candidates, help the couples stage their weddings, and treat the grand prize winner to a major photo spread in the magazine as well as a new home worth 500,000 pounds. Before long, Antoni and Vivien announce the finalists: Josef and Isabelle (Stephen Mangan and Meredith MacNeill), fitness enthusiasts who want a tennis-themed wedding; Matt and Sam (Martin Freeman and Jessica Stevenson), whose ceremony will be inspired by Hollywood movie musicals; and Michael and Joanna (Robert Webb and Olivia Colman), a pair of naturists who seldom wear clothes and want to be nude throughout the ceremony. Following the death of her drug-addicted mother, a whimsical young girl follows her chemically dependent father to a remote prairie house to discover a wondrous world of magical fireflies and nocturnal bog men in this hallucinatory childhood fantasy from visionary filmmaker Terry Gilliam. Noah (Jeff Bridges) is a burnt-out rock star whose post-superstar voyage to obscurity is hastened by a serious drug addiction that is also shared with his wild-eyed wife (Jennifer Tilly). When the Noah's increasingly erratic wife suffers a fatal overdose, the faded rock star opts to escape the painful reality by retreating to a ramshackle remote home with his young daughter, Jeliza-Rose (Jodelle Ferland). Left to her own devices as her father stumbles about the grasslands in a drug-induced haze, Jeliza-Rose soon ventures into her own fantasy land before making the acquaintance of mentally challenged youth Dickens (Brendan Fletcher). The Story of the Weeping Camel director Byambasuren Davaa returns to the helm to further explore the bond between man and beast with this tale of a young Mongolian girl who rescues a stray dog, and the subsequent relationship that develops between the homeless canine and the girl's disapproving father. Six-year-old Nansal was in the field collecting dung patties for fuel when she first came across the aimless yellow mutt she took to calling Zochor ("Spot"). Though the amiable mongrel and the girl form an immediate bond, trouble arises when her father insists that it will lead the wolves to the family's sheep, and she must get rid of it immediately. In the weeks that follow Nansal does her best to keep her four-legged friend a secret from her dad, but when winter draws near and the family prepares to migrate to another camp, Zochor is eventually tied to a post by Nansal's father and left behind. Despite the father's insistence that the beast will only bring problems for the family, he is soon compelled to reconsider his stance on the matter when Zochor proves his worth by protecting the youngest member of the family from a flock of hungry vultures. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
