A spontaneous love affair threatens permanent repercussions when a couple neglects to use birth control, and finds that their fleeting romance may in fact have strong roots. Fred (Noah Bean) and Nelly (Anna Chlumsky) have been together for years. But when Fred meets free-spirited Mindy (Rachel Boston) while Nelly is away on business, playful drinking leads them straight to the sheets. The following morning, when Mindy reveals that she isn't on birth control, Fred drives her to the pharmacy and purchases the "morning after" pill. Though Mindy storms off following a brief tussle, Fred learns that she has to take another pill 12 hours later in order to halt the pregnancy. Now, in order to sidestep paternity and salvage his relationship with Nelly, Fred must find a means of getting back on Mindy's good side, and getting her to take the second pill. Unfortunately for Fred, regaining Mindy's trust will not only involve an uncomfortable one-on-one with her crestfallen ex-boyfriend, but also joining her family to celebrate her brother's 11th birthday. Three friends feign salvation in order to get out of jail with a slap on the wrist, but find their little white lie starting to snowball after they're recruited to take over the local church of a small God-fearing community. Sam (Richard Speight), Jamal (Elijah Rock), and Frankie (Stelio Savante) were just three guys passing through the small town of Rocky Road when one wrong move landed them behind bars. Fortunately for them, Rusty Pickens (Barry Corbin) seems to know everyone in town, and gets them released into his custody. Now all Sam, Jamal, and Frankie must do to maintain their freedom is whip the local church back into shape. Sebastian Gutierrez wrote and directed this comedy-drama set in a handful of Los Angeles drinking establishments over the course of one lively evening. Francine (Carla Gugino) meets Nick (Zachary Quinto) in a cocktail lounge and they discuss some business -- it seems Nick isn't happy in his marriage, and he's willing to pay someone to kill his wife. However, Nick doesn't know that Francine isn't a hit woman, but a private detective hired to dig up dirt on him. Francine would seem to have all the incriminating information she needs, but before leaving she discovers her recordings of the conversation have been stolen. Francine spends the rest of the night traveling from one bar to another trying to find the thief, and she crosses paths with an remarkable variety of characters, including Dodge (Robert Forster), a nostalgic former gangster; Teresa (Emmanuelle Chriqui), an exotic dancer who can read men's minds, Aldo (Danny DeVito), a shifty and well-connected card shark, and June (Rosario Dawson), who runs the area's only clothing-optional ping pong parlor. But the older Henry gets, the more he begins to wonder why he doesn't have a father. Upon learning that he has a half-sister named Audrey (Samantha Weinstein), and that she was conceived so that her father Dr. Slavkin O'Hara (Michael Sheen) could pen a best-seller titled "Born Gay or Made That Way?" the precocious boy decides to seek out his long-lost sibling. A bored and blasé man of faith hits the road and encounters some strange surprises along the way in this independent comedy from filmmaker Todd Rohal. Father William Smoortser (Steve Little), known to his colleagues and students as Father Billy, is a Catholic priest who seems to have become disenchanted with his work; he'd rather tell jokes to his bible study group than actually discuss scripture, and has more interest in the finer points of diner food than Catholic doctrine. Father Billy's superiors decide he needs some rest and recreation, so he invites Robbie Shoemaker (Robert Longstreet) to join him for some camping and canoeing. Robbie used to play guitar in a heavy metal band and was engaged to Father Billy's sister, and to the priest he's always seemed like the epitome of cool. Robbie and Father Billy hit the river and soon have traveling companions in a pair of young Asian women who call themselves Tom Sawyer (Koko Lanham) and Huck Finn (Miki Ann Maddox). But it isn't long before the travelers become lost, and the journey becomes increasingly surreal as Father Billy learns some surprising secrets about Robbie.
