Nearly 40 years after Che Guevara's execution in Bolivia, director Steven Soderbergh retraces the life of the iconic Cuban revolutionary in this nearly four-and-a-half-hour saga. Part 1 begins on November 26, 1956, as Fidel Castro (Demián Bichir) sails into Cuban waters with 80 rebels in tow. Among those rebels is Argentine doctor Ernesto "Che" Guevara (Benicio Del Toro), a man who shares Castro's dream of overthrowing corrupt dictator Fulgencio Batista. As the struggle gets under way, Guevara proves an indispensable part of the revolution due to his firm grasp on the concepts of guerilla warfare. Guevara is heartily embraced by both his comrades and the Cuban people, and quickly rises through the ranks to become first a commander, and ultimately a revolutionary hero. Part 2 of the saga begins with Guevara at the absolute peak of his fame and power. Disappearing suddenly, Guevara subsequently resurfaces in Bolivia to organize a modest group of Cuban comrades and Bolivian recruits in preparation for the Latin American Revolution. But while the Bolivian campaign would ultimately fail, the tenacity, sacrifice, and idealism displayed by Guevara during this period would make him a symbol of heroism to followers around the world. A thirteen year-old girl from a scenic village in Argentina strikes up a tender friendship with a cynical architect hired to design a house for his Buenos Aires client in director Alberto Lecci's heartfelt drama. Carlos (Gaston Pauls) arrives in the picturesque pueblo of Purmamarca to design a house for one of his wealthy clients. Recently separated from his wife, the lifelong urbanite has little patience for the placid, small-town logic displayed by the local populace. Carlos soon finds his scorn for the country-dwellers disarmed, however, by the unguarded honesty of his adolescent, self-appointed guide Estela (Marina Vilte). Though the pair enters into a platonic relationship that helps each to form a better understanding of the world that exists outside of their respective comfort zones, Carlos and Estela soon find the delicate balance of their friendship disrupted when Carlos' estranged wife Ana (Ariadna Gil) makes an unexpected appearance in the town. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Sebastian Borensztein's comedy The Die Is Cast stars Marcelo Mazzarello and Gaston Pauls as half-brothers. As the film opens each of them becomes unemployed. Believing he is the subject of a curse, the theatrical Felipe (Mazzarello) heads to his father's deathbed where he and his half brother decide to grant their father's wish. An Argentine music student realizes that an unfinished composition by a tormented composer is actually a gateway to madness after callously passing off the intriguing piece of work as his own. Eliseo and his sister came from a wealthy Chilean family. It seemed that both children had bright futures in the world of music - Eliseo as a composer and his sister as a pianist - but then tragedy struck. Eliseo's sister was raped and murdered, a crime that has haunted Eliseo well into his adult life. When Eliseo's lover too suffers a tragic death, the composer is driven to insanity and committed to an asylum. As the years pass by, the haunted composer attempts to pen his magnum opus on the walls of his lonely hospital room. Meanwhile, in the outside world, struggling Argentine music student Ricardo discovers the fragments of Eliseo's lost symphony and slyly passes off the masterful composition as his own. But the ruse can only go on for so long, and in time Ricardo realizes that his only hope of making amends for his transgression is to track down Eliseo and find out what became of the composer. An abandoned Uruguay community rails against Hollywood's purchase of an antique locomotive in this comedy drama from sophomore director Diego Arsuaga. Despite the locals' joy over the sale of the train, the Friends of the Railroad Association views the purchase as the selling of an important part of the town's rich history. In a last-ditch effort to sabotage the sale and keep their beloved locomotive, the group hijacks the train and attempts a daring escape to Brazil. Lance Henriksen stars as ex-FBI agent Richard Gaynes in this made for video techno-thriller, which has much in common with the classic 1966 science fiction feature Fantastic Voyage. A brilliant bomb expert, Gaynes is miniaturized and injected into the bloodstream of comatose terrorist Anthony Moran (Julian Vergov). The reason? There's a microchip imbedded somewhere within Moran that is set to trigger a worldwide nuclear holocaust within 24 hours. Going along for the ride is the requisite Sexy Woman Scientist, played by Robin Givens. Six people find themselves playing a romantic/sexual game of musical chairs in this quirky comedy-drama. Martin (Daniel Hendler) and Natalia (Mariana Anghileri) are a twentysomething couple who are in mid-argument when Martin accidentally runs into another car. As it happens, the other car was being driven by popular actor Gaston Pauls (playing himself); Gaston and his girlfriend, Andrea (Eva Sola), were en route to an interview with journalist Camila (Camila Toker). Martin tries to sort things out with Gaston, but after Andrea decides she's tired of listening to them, she takes off, and before long Gaston does the same to make his appointment with Camila. Camila, however, is looking for more than a story; she's grown disenchanted with her boyfriend, Leopoldo (Leonardo Murua), and is thinking that a fling with a good-looking movie star might be just what she needs. Meanwhile, Martin still hasn't settled the matter concerning the accident, and Leopoldo happens to make the acquaintance of Natalia. Some say that, for many, Christmas is the loneliest time of the year, and just as a hapless group of unsuspecting Argentineans feel they may have hit rock bottom, their lives begin to intersect in a way that may offer a glimmer of hope.
