Great to see the original Star Trek crew again, but the first movie had a lot of the very slow moving computer graphics- too much. But the ship and the people looked great. Basing V-ger out on Voyager (I worked on it at JPL) was fantastic! A must see, along with the next 5. BluRay! II is the third best of the 6, and based loosely on an original series TV show. II is the first of a connected trilogy, one of the best trilogies of all movies. Star Trek III & IV follow in sequence, but with very different adventures and intensities. Start Trek IV is the best of all 6 -very amusing & entertaining, with a real message to us all too! Star Trek V is another story, pretty much unrelated to any of the past movies of TV shows. It is a bit slow, but interesting, but not enough action or drama. Star Trek VI is the second best of the entire series, and what a way to go out (with the original characters as the main stay). 6 is so good that it can be watched and enjoyed without seeing the other 5.
