This documentary takes a look at the musical subgenre known as black metal - a term coined by a band called Venom, but later popularized by a collection of Norwegian bands. Still, some fans of the style dispute its linkage to Norway, and argue that more important black metal bands have been Swedish, a topic the filmmaker discusses with members of such prominent black metal groups as Enslaved, Finntroll, and Dark Funeral. ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
