I could listen to Gielgud for hours -- fabulous performance. Unfortunately, this film is in bad need of restoration. Still, since there's almost no set, and he doesn't wear costumes (he's in a suit and tie throughout), the poor quality of the film doesn't interfere too much with one's appreciation of the performance.

Black and whie picture lacks clarity. Sir John is superb.
