    You have to understand the minds of authors like Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaimen and others of their particular slant to like this movie. This movie is NOT for children but that is only because they won't understand it. SUPER Christians also will not like this movie as it takes a more Pagan approach to the Christmas holiday. The movie and other Pratchett movies persona fie Death, Time and other incarnations of our common world and this can be hard to explain to a closed mind and to children that are taught that Santa is real. If you have an open mind, enjoy abnormal sci-fantasy and don't mind Pagan type references then this movie is DEFINITELY for you!!

    If you are a fan of Terry Pratchett, you simply must see this film. It is very true to the book, and most of the characters are exactly as described (except Nobby Nobbs). However, it is NOT for kids, although it is fantasy, comedy and holiday-themed.

    Must admit, the idea of a pig for Santa turned me off, as did Death filling in. Nevertheless, Susan, the feisty heroine, and the absolutely creepy Teatime (pronounced Tee-AH-tee-may, a la Mrs Bucket/ Bouquet) won me over. Pratchett rules again!
