When a stylish gay student arrives for his first day at Brickland International High School, the threats he endures from the jocks and bullies is soon balanced by his friendship with two of the school's biggest misfits in director Russell P. Marleau's loopy teen comedy. For the most part, Brickland is your average European high school - with popular kids, athletes, geeks, and fashionistas all tallying for top dog status. When Chance arrives for his first day at Brickland decked out in a top hat and carrying a cane, football punter Brad Harden promptly singles him out for torment. Thankfully Chance has the kind of quick wits needed to deflect Brad's homophobic attacks. Upon making friends with sassy Twyla and geeky Hank, Chance quickly begins to learn the ropes at Brickland. Later, an excursion to the local drag bar, a bit of amateur sleuthing, and an burgeoning alliance with athletic musician and straight boy Levi finds Chance poised to achieve legendary status at Brickland. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Some people wrote negative reviews. Sure, the acting isn't Dame Judi Dench. However there is a nice simplicity to the cast, it's a nice story and everything resolves itself in the end. It was watchable, it had funny moments and it was poignant. I'd watch it again.

I'm always in for a comedy and life's too short sometimes to deal with more drama. Therefore, this is a light hearted movie with a "making it through high school and being gay" theme to it. It stars Tad Higenbrinck ("American Pie Presents: Band Camp") as Chance and Brett Chukerman ("Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds") as Levi along with several other good characters. The acting is actually pretty good from several newbies so don't you worry. Just add it to your blockbuster list and bump it to the top. Take care!

This movie exceeded my expectations. A great story about a kid who is in school and is the new kid, picked on, beat up, made fun of and weird to boot. He ends up going to a gay club and gets talked into doing a drag show. He actually sings instead of lip syncing and then he makes a band. A great movie for those who want to over come adversity.
