Bill Maher: Be More Cynical is great its the stand up before he was fired from his old show, and is him with more of a fun look on the world ofcourse it was because it was before GWB got into the White House

I was a bit disappointed with this dvd. I love Bill Maher's Real Time Show on HBO, and was hoping it was more on those lines.

I'm a big fan of Bill Maher and a regular viewer of "Real Time" on HBO. When I saw this band new video release, I assumed it was going to be a current performance -- perhaps even a follow-up to his recent "Victory Begins At Home." Instead, it turned out to be just one of his recycled HBO specials from nearly five years ago, recorded before the 2000 elections and when he was still doing "Politically Incorrect" on ABC. Since most of his humor is topical, it was obviously very outdated and stale at this point. I'm sorry that I wasted a spot in my queue on something I could just as easily have gotten for nothing by using the "HBO On Demand" option on my digital cable box.
