Fast paced and full of action, but still ok for kids. One of a group of cyborgs, 009 is the most advanced (technologically) of a group of renegade cyborgs that rebel against the Shadow Ghost society that created them from the humans they once were. Each is changed and has unique powers yet they all band together to escape because they did not give their permission to be changed. They face huge armies fearlessly and can easily defeat them. The real challenges start when the Shadow ghost society starts sending more of their own kind against them!

This installment of the Cyborg 009 is nothing short of wonderful, given Shotaro Ishinomori's track record. This is must see anime classic for anyone who is a fan of anime. While this anime, I think, isn't the best for young children, I think older children can appreciate the old genre of transforming superheros.

Although this DVD was interesting, it is not a full-length movie... it's 4 episodes totalling about 90 minutes. This anime is more aimed at the younger crowd. I'll probably not watch the "sequel."
