Synopsis of The New Tom Green Show [TV Series]

Tom Green, the prankish bad boy of cable whose proficiency in the field of outrageous practical jokes and stunts launched a whole slew of even more outrageous imitators (Jackass, for one), returned to television in this nightly, 60-minute MTV series. It was a calmer, friendlier and "straighter" Tom Green whom the viewers saw this time around. Having watched hours of old Steve Allen and Jack Paar tapes in preparation, Green was determined to present a standard late-night talk/interview show in the classic tradition (the man even wore a suit!) There were, however, fond hark backs to the Tom Green of old, whenever the host and his sidekick, Glenn Humplik, involved members of the audience in zany comedy sketches.
