The film moves a little slow, but it is interesting enough to make you want to keep watching. It is very surprising some of the things it brings out about Dr. Freud. It just goes to show that the deeper one delves into the minds of others the more you are forced to deal with the issues of your own mind, whether you like it or not. Without doubt, worth watching.
Complex; brilliant; dark; dramatic; wretched/disturbing elements; flashback and flashforward; at last, elucidating. Masterful acting, writing, and directing. Wonderful period sets and costumes. Quality 1984 BBC production. Recommended for all students of Psychology and those who love period British drama. 2 discs/3 hours each. 6 episodes total. Don't miss 2-part 2010 interview with David Suchet (Freud); better recognized as Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot.
