This is not a satanic cult's view, it's a very healthy look at what Satan is and what he has meant to humankind. It's definitely more interesting and powerful for those of us who know that the evil one is real. But it's also comforting to know that his power is limited. And the storyline reinforces that. There's nothing that tries to justify the witch hunts in Salem in here either, as someone said earlier. There's a great two-for-one here too! The History Channel documentary "Hell - The Dominion of the Devil" is on this disk. IMO it's even better than the featured DVD. Obviously a seductive and dangerous topic. But it's well presented, from a Christian's point of view.

Actually, I don't agree with some of the reviews here. In my opinion, the film did not blame human tragadies or the Salem witch hunts on Satan, but more blammed it on the people's belief in him, as if he was not real, only an idea. It was very interesting even though I disagreed with some of the points in the film. It did say "according to the bible" a couple of times, as you would expect, since a lot of his history is told there, however, the devil was not and has not been cast into hell, as yet, as the film stated "according to the bible", he was cast to earth, where he remains. My estimation of the film, was that it was attempting to be unbiased about the existance of the devil, but if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. If he's not real, why do so many worship him? Anyway, very interesting film. Worth the rent.

Its interesting from the point of view of the people in it I guess. Although to correct the first review it does say "according to the Bible" a few times. You can tell that the majority of the production staff and people interviewed are all biased toward it all being fact and being christians n stuff, its not HORRIBLE, but I am also very dissapointed.
