This is a good sci-fi movie especially for 1980. It has a good story line, good charactor development, and the actors did a credible job. It left an opening for good sequel but it never materialized. The special effects were very good for the time. Today some of the effects would appear dated, some not. It's worth the 90 minutes invested in watching.
