A really nice family film with good values and a genuinely nasty villain. Good songs and touching characters and suspenseful situations. We were all surprised at the level of peril that the protaganists had to face. It was thrilling without being too much for little ones. But a little scary. Mine are 6 and 8 and were fine, but toddlers might have issues. The romance angle was handled sweetly and innocently, without any gratuitious salacious comments or situations that are inappropriately grown-up. Definitely reminded me of an old-fashioned musical. Very clean.
