The multi-platinum comic embraces his dark side in this performance captured live at Hollywood's famed Laugh Factory. With an intimate crowd of 400 hanging on his every punchline, the performance marked a definite shift in focus from Cook's previous arena concerts, and offered him the opportunity to reinvent his image by treading on topics that most mainstream comics wouldn't touch with a ten-foot mic stand. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
Started off rather depressing. Jokes about race, rape, death, and suicide? Not funny. Got funnier, but if you've seen any of his videos you've already seen these jokes.
It was nice to see Dane do some new material because his other DVD's had been just re-hashings of older jokes and a few new ones sprinkled in. I actually found the bonus features to be very insightful and even better than some of the actual show!!!
I don't mind dirty stand up comedy, but Dane went overboard with this one. Not cool. Was not even funny. Nothing funny at all about a day care teacher giving a little boy a BJ. Watch The Kings of Comedy. Now that is funny.
If you love Dane cook, you'll love this dvd. it's got tons of extras on where his jokes came from and how he turned the dark times in his life into his dark comedy. The show itself is short, like much of his stand up (about 50 mins), but all the stuff on here is new jokes. Offensive, truthful, and hilarious, Dane Cook's Isolated Incident is sure to make you laugh. It's no Vicious Circle, but it was still worth the rent for sure.
I really like Dane Cook. I was totally looking forward to this show, but after 5 min. turned if off--too foul mouthed and I couldn't stand it any longer.
