The science-fiction film Recon 2020: The Caprini Massacre takes place in a future where Earth has become uninhabitable. While what is left of the population attempts to live on a star, the Galactic Marine Infantry attempts to protect them from any further harm. When they discover that an alien race is planning an attack, they must do everything they can to beat back the bad guys. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi
To call this movie unwatchable dreck would be an insult to bad movies everywhere. 'Recon 2020...' may actually define a whole new category of bad, perhaps replacing 'Clash of the Titans' as the worst movie ever made.
I lost track of the number of Sci-Fi films/programs from which various elements/dialog were borrowed, but absolutely NONE of the GREATNESS of the sources rubbed off; even the egregiously gratuitous nudity with which the move opens manages to be very poorly performed. [How can one mess up 'Be naked, lie there, look pretty' !?!]
I will give some small credit to the gear that I saw in the brief period of time that I could watch this before I had to shut it off in self defense, but apart from that there are NO redeeming qualities.
My most significant regret is that I cannot file a lawsuit to regain the time from my life that I have forever lost while watching 'Recon 2020'
I have never seen a worse "low budget" movie. I'm surprised that Blockbuster would even consider putting it in their collection. I had to force myself to watch the first 15 minutes before turning it off.
Bad acting, bad premise, bad story, bad effects, bad dialog, bad "action" sequences ... and what's up with the hydra creature? Not sure what the opening sequence was supposed to be and not quite sure of the obligatory bare breasts in the first few minutes other than, along with the language, to try to garner an R rating. The only redeeming feature is that the rental was "free" as I exchanged an online envelope for the free in-store rental. For those with the online service, save your free movies for something else.
I honestly cannot think of a worse film I have seen. It is so bad I think I could smell how bad it was when I put it in the DVD player. Buy it as a gag gift for people you hate.
I could only bear 15 minutes and had to turn it off. I will entertain joining a class action lawsuit to get money for pain and suffering. The actors, producers, and entire crew should be banned from ever making another movie.
these worst movie I have ever saw. bad plot, acting, special effects. booooooooooooooooooooring.. Dialog is pathetic... Only good part of this movie is the artwork on the cover.
This futuristic, action packed, sci-fi movie is pretty awesome for a low-budget film. Although Spielberg didn't direct it, nor did it have an "Avatar" sized budget, this movie is cutting edge for an indie film.
