Director Jean-Baptiste Andrea's wicked, jet-black comic thriller Big Nothing stars Friends mainstay David Schwimmer as Charlie Wood, a onetime American professor now married to a policewoman, Penelope (Natascha McElhone) and living in Oregon. As the story opens, Charlie takes a job as a telephone operator at an Information Technology call support center, but is promptly fired for making offensive comments to a customer. One of Charlie's shadier co-workers, Gus Dickinson (Simon Pegg) wheedles him into his plan to blackmail a priest, Rev. Smalls (Mitchell Mullen) by using "inside" information from the company that demonstrates the minister's obsession with internet porn. Thus begins an endless series of Mametian twists and turns involving double-cross, mistaken identity, forced drownings, poisonings, infidelities and cold-blooded mariticide, as the men attempt to collect on the money but run head-first into one outrageous conflict after another. I loved this movie! It was something different, dark and out of the norm. I think the people who didn't like it are the people who like their movies predictable and cookie cutter.

This was actually a pretty weird movie, lots of double crossing, David schwimmer was actually very funny, heres the short summary 2 guys one girl, blackmail a Perv Priest who likes watching kiddie porn, priest wife wants to kill him and take his money. Lots of double crossing and fun watch this movie you'll love it.

Very strange movie but worth watching.You have to keep watching it to see what will happen next and if this or that character is really who they say they are. There is quite a bit a violence but I only had to cover my eyes once. Lots of twists and turns in the plot and very good actors.

This was a better movie than the critics gave them credit for. Sometimes it isn't about big shots in hollywood and a great cast that makes the movie. Besides simon pegg(How to Lose Friends and Alienate People) and diavid schwimmer(Ross from Friends) are better actors than hollywood gives them credit for. I really enjoyed this movie because it was a very good and unpredictable story with many twists. I would not miss this flick!

This movie was OK. If your bored and have nothing else to do, would be worth a shot. But if your looking for excitement and a big comedy, this is not the movie. Just read the summary of the movie and if the story interests you and you like Schwimmer, then rent it, otherwise move on. If you expect nothing you may like it a lot, and if you expect a lot you may be dissappointed.

Picked it up on a chance and knew nothing about the movie but the review on the back. I am still not quite sure where the comedy came into play. I was looking forward to Sean Pegg’s role after seeing “Shaun of the Dead.” This movie was a let down each strange turn it took. Pleas let me be your conscience and tell you, “don’t do it.”

This is probablly the biggest waist of 80+ minutes you could ever spend. With so many plot twist the only thing twisted was my stomach. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME.
