If you want to learn something about the hsitory of Bodhidharma, this is not the movie for it. It is just an average Kung-Fu movie from the 90's, with the Mainland chinese version of history.....

This fairytale Communist China propaganda film purporting to be the story of Goutama Buddha, is breathtaking in it's comic effect. From the incorrect postures, prostrations, and actions of the socalled monks and priests, to the flying circus of psuedo-martial arts, the Chinese have not co-opted Buddhism, His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, or any credible history of the belief they still torture Tibetans for following. No stars..
