This was possibly the BEST DC movie I've ever seen! Especially in pure storytelling. An AMAZING story and plot! Basically, it shows what happens when Superman approaches a group of rouge heroes willing to do the one thing he won't do: kill the villains. When they use violence against two warring leaders to end a conflict in the middle east, Superman decides they've crossed the line and an epic battle ensues. This movie really helps reinforce Superman's convictions for the 21st century. Plus, lots of real world issues like capital punishment and "eye for an eye" are discussed without the movie ever feeling too preachy or "serious." The action and superheroes remain throughout the 'social issues.' Only two things keep it from Perfect Score. One, Pauley Perrette (the Goth chick from "NCIS") as Lois is a bad choice. And two, Kryptonite is not mentioned once here. Not even with the supervillains. A minor plot hole. But otherwise, an amazing Superman movie!

I really liked this one. not only does Supes have to deal with a physical challenge but he's fighting against an ideology, one as alien to him as he is to our physical world. How this is handled is fresh and unique and commend the director and other creative talent behind the movie. When the world starts looking past the big, blue boy scout, the greatest test will be regaining the hearts of the people, or becoming forever obsolete. Also, Pauley Perrette makes a wonderful Lois Lane.
