This movie was entertaining because of David James Elliott and the supporting cast. It had some good moments and was probably well-watched on the night it showed up on tv. The special effects were interesting. Not a bad view if you have nothing else to do.

I thought this was a well done "what if" film. It did creep me out a little the first time I saw it, which really made me want to see it again. There are always films about a meteor striking the earth, but one striking the moon and the resulting effects on the earth was certainly different. Naturally at the end, the earth is saved due to scientists around the world compiling their findings and working together for a solution. What I didn't buy was seeing the moon so close to the earth in its elliptical orbit. I'm no scientist, but I do know that the effects of the moon and earth being that close would have had catastrophic effects far worse than shown in the film. Still, I really enjoyed it, along with the subplots, and I will probably buy it one day.
