    The Fringe is a mix of gritty crime drama, high stakes corporate power and human passion. A mysterious phenomenon known as "The Pattern" is the driving force behind the story line. The characters are easy to relate to and I enjoy the comic element injected by Walter. I have just watched the first 2 episodes. I strongly recommend watching the DVD extras about the stories and characters. But, only AFTER you have watched the shows.This helped me to understand some parts of the storyline that didn't make sense to me. I am excited to get the next disc of the series.
