When El Pollo ("the chicken") is captured by authorities for stealing, he has the bad luck to be sent to a children's correctional institution. There, conditions are little short of nightmarish. When the boys there riot, he escapes confinement for a short while but is soon recaptured and sent to another institution, which is run by women.
