that this is a BBC low budget "stage" production. It follows the books closely and my kids loved it and they always want to rent it which is why we joined the Blockbuster Online because the copy at the store was never returned. If you like the books, you'll like this. But don't expect a movie of LOTR-by-Peter Jackson-quality.

This is a great storyline, but until they update the film making it's really hard to watch. But when they do I would reccommend watching this for both children and adults.

I went to a Catholic school and they used to show these BBC versions of 'The Chronicles of Narnia' movies on special movie days. I used to be in awe of the stories and the plots. I would sit in my school desk and give the movie my full attention. Please believe that when I found out that Disney was making a big Hollywood version, I nearly cried. I grew up with these movies and couldn't wait to see what Disney would do with them (I think they did an awesome job, btw). Long story short, I actually purchased a box set of the old BBC versions because I loved them so much as a kid. I found the set at Best Buy one day (a few years ago) on accident and just had to buy it.
