I wanted to see Stonerville mainly because I heard it was Leslie Nielson's last appearance in a movie. He only bookends the film, but he's funny nevertheless. I haven't watched a "stoner" flick since my college days, however I was fairly sure what to expect. Surprise! Despite a couple of jokes that don't quite work, I was pleased to discover this movie has a lot of fall down funny moments. A few pseudo commercials touting naughty products really stand out. And the climax love scene (pun intended) is hilarious. Patrick Cavanaugh is a really pleasant surprise as the likable lead character, Slam Slamsky. His sidekick Harley Lovecraft, played by Brian Guest, is equally likable. The girls are great looking and Pauly Shore's cameo is a hoot. I particularly liked how the viewer is taken inside the mind of Slam, literally seeing the videos playing in his head. Stonerville is worth seeing, especially with some good friends.

If you love Leslie Nielson, DO NOT watch this. It is blatent exploit of his good name. He is in about 2 min. at begin and end and it may have shortened his life. Other than that, a complete waste of time.
