This series takes a bit to get into -- I would say very similar to Heroes or Lost. The series as a whole has some interesting concepts, with ties to religion and other "Chariots of the Gods" / Stargate origins mythos. I would suggest giving this Season a chance, but the plot arc development takes a very long time. Season 1 is more of a "weird alien technology goes haywire when humans try and mess with it"-of-the-week situation. Season 4 (i think) somewhat takes the series in a significantly different direction.

unfortunately after this season the powers that be , trying to make the show sexier, changed everything that made it great. for one season though it was great.
