So it's long, yes, but an entertaining watch....disc one only has part 1 and 2....so at the end of two, the dvd drops off and you are left hanging. I tried searching for part 3, but to my avail, I can not locate it. I would watch it again. CGI is impressive and it's an interesting story line. Part 3 I suprisingly stumbled upon at my corner blockbuster, check with them if you are searching for the conclusion.

The mini series is a great variation of the original movie "The Wizard of Oz" . I give it 5 stars! I read the reviews and I agree that it has the "Lord of the Rings" essence. I believe Zooey Deschanel and Neil McDonough were flawless in their performance. I will have to admit I was so tired when I watched disc 1 my wife and didn't look for a part 2. When I received disk 2 several days later, my wife and I watched it. We both thought it was great. I thought we missed a part of the saga, so I put in disk 1. I than notice there was a part 2. It was like watching a prequel. The epic was given more meaning. I may reorder both disk in the future. I don't mind watching certain movies again, ie "A Christmas Carol", "Miracle on 34th Street" and of coarse "The Wizard of Oz".

Bizarre and risque'. It started off OK but we turned it off once they reached the Central City, much akin to a 'redlight district.' A poor substitute of the original movie.
