First of all, the description for this film is actually for another movie with a similar title. It gives no clue to actual content: gay lovers in opposing Latino street gangs. This doesn't much matter, however, as the movie is simply dreadful: a student film that should never have been offered for rent or sale to unsuspecting audiences. Little in terms of writing or direction shows promise. While the actors try their best, the story, script & direction outwit them at every turn. I am all for simplicity but this movie is simple-minded, spelling everything out in GREAT BIG CAPITAL LETTERS. Will Latino gang members buy into the silliness we see here? These "lovers" are so dumb that they have no clue that the photo of one of them, which has appeared in a local newspaper and in which he is identified as a rival gang member, might tip off the other set of gang members as to who he really is. Whew--dumb: the characters, moviemakers & any audience who sits thru this. Rent at your own risk.
I thought this was a really beautiful indie movie, it had it's slow moments but it was not over the top, and I must say well acted by the two leads Micheal Cortez & Tony Sancho, call me a sap but the ending brought a tear to my eye, This is worth the rental.
