The jacket reads, âPrepare to be swept away with Daniel Defoeâs timeless classic as Robinson Crusoe, shipwrecked and alone, must struggle to survive on a desert island. After much time with no human contact, Crusoe finds a friend in the native Islander he calls Friday and together the two battle the islandâs terrifying elements. A remarkable adaptation starring distinguished screen star Pierre Richard, the story is reinterpreted with a message of tolerance uniquely suited to our time.â
Very enjoyable, well worth your time to see it. The movie kept me interested in the plot through out the 193 minutes of its length.
I thought this movie was paced unnecessarily slow and the acting was pitiful. Where did this movie even come from? I can't find information on it anywhere. Either this movie was in another language and dubbed in English or the soundtrack was misaligned with the video. I prefer subtitles because hearing the film in the original language creates a more authentic experience but I didn't have that option.
