Patrick Coppola wrote, produced, directed, and stars in this streetwise drama. Alex Blake is a washed-up boxer whose ambitions of someday winning the championship were dashed by his father's mismanagement. Out of the fight game, Alex lives along the margins of the big city, and has lost the ability to believe in himself. Alex is befriended by two very different women: Sandy, a tough but good-hearted streetwalker who has aligned herself with a vicious pimp, and Susan, a college student finishing a graduate course in psychology. Susan gives Alex the strength to believe in himself, and he finds himself falling in love with her; however, he also becomes Sandy's benefactor and protector, which leads him into the dangerous world of pimping and the sex industry.
