A two-day trip into the jungles of Southeast Asia turns into a struggle against a powerful supernatural force in filmmaker Djinn's dark tale of a beautiful demon seeking vengeance from beyond the grave. Soon after setting out into the jungle under the leadership of a young California girl (Hiep Thi Le), a group of adventurous Americans make contact with a strikingly radiant yet strangely threatening Malay woman who follows the group to their campsite. When the sun rises over the jungle and an ominous feeling overtakes the restless campers, the decision is quickly made to abort the excursion and return to civilization.
