Cacao, a student of the magical arts, makes a simple mistake in casting a spell that results in more trouble than he anticipated: he wakes up the next morning with a live wooden girl lying in bed next to him! She is Hinano, a tree spirit that Cacao inadvertently summoned during his spell. She instantly takes a shine to the boy and enrolls in his school hoping to win his heart.
