The White Horse is Dead
A teenage girl's bizarre attempt to ease the pain of her lonely existence leads to a psychosexual battle of wills between her and her sexually charged mother in director Pete Red Sky's dark take on the death of the American dream. When Giselle (Irena Stemer) discovers that her 17-year-old daughter Naya (Resmine Atis) has been applying leeches to her body in a bizarre form of self-help, the misguided mother recommends that Naya allow her inherent natural beauty to guide her to success. As the tension between the pair slowly builds to a breaking point, the introduction of a handsome gardener into the already volatile situation feeds an unusual triangle of sexual tension and dangerous manipulation that's set to erupt in an explosive rage of jealousy and contempt. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
