When a hapless novice (Chi Kuan-Chun is thrown out of the Shaolin Temple after suffering a series of humiliations brought upon him by a corrupt monk, he has no choice but to wander the dangerous countryside. After being forced to deal with a variety of martial arts experts in order to survive, he finds himself having mastered the art of Kung Fu. With his new skills teeming to show themselves, Chi returns to the temple in an attempt to expose the monk for what he truly is.
