Using lessons that were written by university professors, the viewer is shown how the life and times of William Shakespeare influenced his work. The program also discusses whetehr of not Shakespeare's work is a derivitive of the Greek theatre and how Elizabethean theatre affected his tragic plays including Othello, Macbeth, King Lear, Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet and Titus Andronicus.
