The Queen Mother, who gave birth to England's sovereign Queen Elizabeth II, has lived more than one hundred years. She is one of the royal family's most beloved figures, along with Prince William and Prince Harry. This program reviews some of the most important and pivotal moments in her life. Viewers learn about her birth in August of 1900 and her childhood years spent at St. Paul's Waldenbury in Hertfordshire. In 1923, she announced her engagement and upcoming marriage to HRH The Duke of York. They later became the proud parents of two children. Additional information is provided concerning her life with her husband, who died in 1952, and the royal duties she has shouldered since that time. ~ Elizabeth Smith, All Movie Guide
