The Paris Reunion Band

Following his arrival in Paris in 1958, American expatriate Kenny Clarke became a key figure in the development of the city's burgeoning jazz community. Not only was Clarke a valued teacher and mentor to aspiring jazz musicians growing up in Paris, but he also went on to become the unofficial jazz counsel for the city. In this concert staged to recapture the Paris of the late '50s and early '60s and designed to pay tribute to the late Clarke, The Paris Reunion Band transports viewers back to a time when the City of Lights was the jazz capital of Europe. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
