Deanna Shapiro and Julie Smith co-directed the film The Legend of Cryin' Ryan, a drama about two kids who help a spirit find closure. Kris (Andi Eystad) inadvertently releases the ghost of deceased bully Ryan Green (Michael Heidemann). She begs her to help him find out why he dies so he may rest in peace.
