The Drum Along Drum Circle Video presents a high-energy, high-spirited 30-person drum circle jam session. This video has something to offer for viewers of all skill levels, whether they are interested in just listening and enjoying or playing along and learning new ways to develop a beat. The drummers are playing a wide variety of instruments, including djembes, ashikos, congas, bongos, frame drums, doumbeks, tambourines, djun djuns, bass drums, shakers, bells, and woodblocks. Featured hand-drummers include Carla Campbell, Sean Feder, Warren Jones, and Shawn King; these players' entrances are staggered so that viewers can focus in on each of these experts' parts but still listen to them playing in a large-group environment. Rhythms are played in their entirety, usually around ten minutes each, and the video offers easy-to-read onscreen notations giving information and explanations for each one; the wide variety of rhythms presented include Fanga, Doudoumba, Rhumba, Heartbeat, Kakilambe, and Shiko.
