The Collectors
In this independent drama, Logan (Adam Abram) is a young man with a great talent in the martial arts -- a gift he inherited from his father. However, when Logan loses the use of his legs in a auto accident, he's left with little reason to go on, and his father doesn't shy away from expressing his disappointment, especially as his father has recently lost his job. Logan's grandfather is sympathetic to his situation, and with the young man in mind he designs a hyper-realistic video game which will allow Logan to virtually exercise the fighting skills his body no longer allows. But Logan spends too much time with the game, and eventually finds himself lost somewhere between cyberspace and reality. The Collectors was written and directed by John Lyde, who has also directed several independent films relating to issues within the Mormon faith. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
