Tetsujin-28
An elementary school student with the determination of an entire army goes toe-to-toe with one of the most destructive forces of terror ever unleashed on humankind in the feature-length movie based on one of Japan's hottest anime series. Tokyo has been laid to waste by a giant robot named Black Ox, and as the vengeful terrorist who created the towering death machine savors the chaos that surrounds him, terrified elementary school student Shotaro Kaneda (Shosuke Ikematsu) receives a most unusual telephone call from a mysterious elderly man. It appears that the recently deceased father of the unidentified caller had perfected a giant robot with the power to defeat the dreaded Black Ox before he died, and he named his creation Tetsujin-28. Though at first young Shotaro and his powerful ally suffer a crushing defeat while attempting to dismantle their formidable foe, a little determination and a helpful word of encouragement from the boy's supportive mother and father find the young warrior rushing into the battlefield to prove his worth, and take down the Black Ox once and for all. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
