Theodore Bikel is host to this PBS description of the traditions and music of the Jewish holiday of Chanukah. Hankus Netshy directs 150 musicians from the New England Conservatory of Music. The Boston Community Gospel Choir and a klezmer band also participate in this Jewish Festival of Lights. A rhythm & blues version of The Dreidle Song is included, Bikel recites Oh Chanukah in Hebrew, a demonstration in latke cooking is given, and the traditional ceremony of the lighting of the Menorah is featured. ~ Linda J.
