Spirit: In Concert
Featuring visionary guitarist and songwriter Randy California and gifted drummer Ed Cassidy, Spirit were one of the more adventurous American rock bands to emerge in the late 1960s, and their unique blend of psychedelia, progressive rock, blues and jazz earned them a passionate fan base in both England and the United States. Spirit: In Concert documents a 1986 performance by the group, featuring California, Cassidy, Scott Monahan on keyboards, and Walter Egan on bass; songs include "I Got a Line on You," "Nature's Way," "1984," "Animal Zoo," and two previously unreleased tunes, "Sweet Child" and "Island of Roses." ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
