Scott Jacoby

Scott Jacoby

As a juvenile performer, Scott Jacoby appeared regularly on the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live. Jacoby was 16 when he made his film-starring debut in 1972's Baxter. That same year, he won an Emmy for his performance as Hal Holbrook's estranged son in the made-for-TV That Certain Summer. As he grew into manhood, Jacoby specialized in furtive, squirrelly types, occasionally playing an out-and-out psycho (e.g. the 1974 TV movie Bad Ronald). One of his better screen roles was Mario Podesta, nervous confidante to secretive teenager Jodie Foster, in the cult favorite Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1977). He spent most of his later performing years in such scarefests as To Die For (1989) and its 1991 sequel. Scott Jacoby is the brother of actor Bill Jacoby. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
