Samurai X: The Motion Picture
Edited together using scenes from the Rurouni Kenshin TV series, this full-length animated feature tells a condensed version of its story. Himura Kenshin, the wandering samurai, was once known as Battousai, the "Man Slayer," and used his unsurpassed prowess as a fighter to fight in the Japanese civil war and bring about the beginning of the Meiji period. That time is over now, however, and Kenshin has vowed to never kill again, and spend the rest of his life in atonement for all the lives that ended under his blade. Does he have a chance at beginning a new life with angry figures from his past seeking to hunt him down? ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
