Accordingly, he was cast in such comix-to-cinema projects as Flash Gordon (1980), The Spirit (1987), and Jane and the Lost City (1989). On a more down-to-earth level, Jones was fine indeed as Dudley Moore's unwitting rival for the affections of Bo Derek in 10 (1979).
