Classical piano duettists Hans Peter and Volker Stenzl, both of Germany, team up onstage for the concert film Petrouchka/Liebslieder-Walzer. Actually comprised of two concerts, presented here back-to-back, the men - each on his respective piano - perform the two titular classical works, Igor Stravinsky's Petrouchka and Johannes Brahms's Liebeslieder-Walzer, before an appreciative audience. Percussionists Gyula Rácz and Uwe Arlt provide accompaniment, while altoist Irene Mittmann-Wetzler interprets a solo aria. The Petrouchka segment was filmed at the Hochschule in Stuttgart, the Liebslieder-Walzer at the Historischer-Saal in Regensburg. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
