Pete Townshend: Psychoderelict
The 1993 concert film Pete Townshend: Psycoderelict sees the Who frontman covering a number of that group's key standards including "Behind Blue Eyes,", but the central emphasis of the film involves a theatrical show performed by Townshend and inspired by his critically-ballyhooed June 1993 concept album, Psychoderelict. The basic story of that show involves a media-driven scheme to resuscitate the career of a has-been rock star, utilizing an erotic photograph of a fourteen-year-old girl. The theme anticipates Townshend's legal trouble in the early 2000s and the accusations levied against him involving his alleged possession of child pornography from the internet. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
