Oingo Boingo: Farewell
Before he became one of America's busiest film composers, Danny Elfman was the leader of Oingo Boingo, an eclectic new wave band whose angular melodies and punchy horn charts made them a potent attraction in their native Los Angeles. The band's annual Halloween shows had become a tradition in Los Angeles, and when Oingo Boingo decided to call it a day in 1995 after 18 years together, they bowed out with a blowout performance at L.A.'s Universal Amphitheater, and Oingo Boingo: Farewell records the band's final show in all its audio-visual glory. Songs include "Only a Lad," "Ain't This the Life," "Dead Man's Party," "No Spill Blood," "Wild Sex (In the Working Class)," "Insanity," and many more. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
