Neighborhood
Hispanic rapper Frost (aka Kid Frost) stars in this hard-hitting drama about gang life in the barrios of East Los Angeles. After the son of a wealthy and privileged man dies in the crossfire of a gang war while trying to buy drugs, tensions escalate to the breaking point between Latin American drug dealers and their Colombian rivals. Stuck in the middle is a gang banger who is trying to use his talents as a writer to make something of himself, but he may never get the chance. The Neighborhood was screened as part of the 2004 New York Independent Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
